MARIANO Marcos State University (MMSU) took a major step toward a future-ready learning environment with the inauguration of its Information Technology and Data Center, part of its broader digital transformation drive.

The facility was formally opened by Commission on Higher Education Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, alongside MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano Jr., university officials, higher education leaders, and key partners.

The new center anchors the university’s Smart Campus initiative, integrating advanced information and communication technologies to support instruction, research, administration, and student services through a connected and secure digital ecosystem.

In her address, Agrupis described the building as a symbol of MMSU’s commitment to sustainable development and institutional resilience, noting that the Smart Campus program aligns with CHED’s ACHIEVE Agenda.

Manzano said the IT and Data Center reflects the university’s core values of integrity and good governance, emphasizing its role in improving operational efficiency, academic delivery, and data-driven decision-making.

The project strengthens MMSU’s capacity for digital governance and innovation, positioning the university as a technology-enabled and student-centered institution responsive to national and global education demands.
