PUP EARNS WURI RECOGNITION AT CHED-NCR YEAR-END CONVERGENCE

THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines earned national recognition for its internationalization and innovation efforts during the 2025 CHED Year-End Convergence of NCR International Relations Officers held earlier this month.
Represented by its Office of International Affairs, PUP joined international relations officers from higher education institutions across Metro Manila in a forum organized by the Commission on Higher Education–National Capital Region (CHED-NCR) to strengthen collaboration and global engagement.
During the event, PUP was cited for its strong performance in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, particularly in technology development, sustainability funding, and cost-benefit management.
CHED conferred on the University a Certificate of Recognition, along with a Frontier of Global Excellence Award plaque, in acknowledgment of its competitiveness in these areas.
The gathering provided a venue for institutions to exchange best practices, assess shared challenges, and align strategies in advancing internationalization initiatives for the coming year.
University officials said the recognition reflects PUP’s collective commitment to innovation, international visibility, and partnerships that support quality education and global collaboration.P
