EDUCATION Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized the importance of promoting children’s welfare and health during the 4th ICPCN – International Children’s Palliative Care Network Conference 2025 held in Muntinlupa City.
The conference, led by The Ruth Foundation for Palliative and Hospice Care, marked the first time the ICPCN event was hosted in the Philippines.
The event aims to advance access to palliative care for children facing life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
“It aims to encourage the exchange of knowledge, new and innovative ideas, research, and experiences. With a packed programme of speakers, workshops, and poster presentations, the conference promises rich opportunities for professional development and networking,” ICPCN said on its website.
In his message, Angara underscored the Department of Education’s commitment to ensuring that every child receives equal opportunities in education and health through programs implemented in partnership with various institutions.
