SENATOR PUSHES FOR THE CONVERSION OF CPSU EXTENTION CAMPUSES INTO REGULAR CAMPUSES
SENATOR Loren Legarda is pushing for a measure converting the extension campuses of the Central Philippines State University into regular campuses.
Legarda’s Senate Bill 2759 or the proposed Central Philippines State University Campuses Convertion Act aims to convert extension campuses in the municipalities of Hinoba-an, Cauayan, Ilog, Candoni, Moises Padilla and Hinigaran, and in the cities of San Carlos, Sipalay and Victorias, all in the province of Negros Occidential into regular campuses.
At present, CSPU operates its main campus in the City of Kabankalan.
Legarda said as the first agricultural institution in the Philippines, CPSU has consistently inspired the youth to pursue diverse higher education programs, fostering academic growth and development.
The senator stressed that the transformation is poised to unlock more opportunities for students not only in the province of Negros Occidental but throughout the entire Western Visayas Region.
This is to pave the way for brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
