MARIANO MARCOS STATE U HOSTS 74 FOREIGN STUDENTS
THE MARIANO Marcos State University hosted 74 foreign students for the midyear term of Academic Year 2022-2023.
MMSU said the community oriented the students on July 24 on MMSU services and policies.
The students are composed of 71 Chinese, two Indians, and one American.
They were admitted to four graduate programs: Doctor of Education, 37; Master of Arts in Education, 15; Master of Arts in Nursing, 12; and Master in Management, seven.
Three of them are enrolled in undergraduate programs. Their study in the university started on July 5 and will continue until August 2.
Prof. Jeanette Dials, MMSU international faculty and student mobility chief, said the admission of the foreign students is “one of the results of the university’s internationalization efforts.”
Dials noted that more students from other countries are expected to enter MMSU this year.
The university said that one of the key aspects of university president Shirley Agrupis’ ACHIEVE agenda is the enhancement of international mobility, which plays a significant role in expanding external linkages and partnerships.
