THE SULU State College will implement a 10-day break for the observance of the holy Islamic month of Ramadan.

SSC said the Ramadan break will be from April 13 to April 23, 2023.

There will be no in-person classes, synchronous, asynchronous learning sessions and deadlines during the furlough.

“In line with the Notice No. 001 Series of 2023 of the Guidance and Placement Center and pursuant to Republic Act No. 11036 also known as the Mental Health Act, the Sulu State College wish to abide and support the said act by granting the Sulu State College students and employees a 10-day break to focus on the spiritual as well as mental being on the last 10 nights of the holy month of Ramadhan,” the university said.

“Faculty members and non-teaching personnel are entitled to have their break during the mentioned dates,” it added.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection.
