PISAY STUDENT TO REPRESENT PH IN INT’L PUBLIC SPEAKING TILT
A STUDENT from the Philippine Science High School Main Campus won first place in the National Search for the Philippine Champion to the English Speaking Union’s International Public Speaking Competition 2023.
Aldrik Job Quintanilla bested other finalists to claim the title. He will represent the country in the ESU’s IPSC in May 2023 in London, England.
Karen Bulan served as coach for Quintanilla.
Francheska Romero of the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde came in second, while Juan Miguel Angeles, also from PSHS, ranked third.
IPSC is held annually to give young people practical experience in the fundamental skills of public speaking and to provide them with a focus for the learning of effective English and good communication skills.
It brings together students aged 16 to 20 from more than 50 countries.
