UST GRADUATE TOPS CPA LICENSURE EXAM
A GRADUATE of the University of Santo Tomas topped the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission this month.
Francis Matthew Nuñez Obligacion led the successful examinees with a rating of 91 percent.
He was followed by Kate Marie Uy Buenconchillo of the University of Saint La Salle with 90.76 percent and Emerson Macaraig Peralta of the University of the East-Manila who got 89.50 percent.
The PRC said 1,722 of 6,665 examinees passed the test held in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The licensure exam was given by eight members of the Board of Accountancy, including Noe G. Quiñanola as chairman.
No schools qualified as top performing in the board exam.
