THE COMMISSION on Higher Education lauded the University of Santo Tomas for its exemplary and commendable performance in international rankings and ratings for two consecutive years.

UST was included in the list of Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings, QS Asia University Rankings, QS Stars Rating, and Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.

The university was the country’s first QS Four Stars University in 2015 and 2017, and QS Five Stars University in 2021.

It also got the QS World University Ranking by Subject at 301-320 spot and QS Graduate Employability Ranking at 251-300 rank.

Moreover, UST consistently ranked high in the Times Higher Education’s Impact Rankings.
University Deputy Director of the Office of QS/THE Rankings Engineer Nestor Ong received the award during the 1st ASEAN ICONS Awards Night held last August 26.

Other HEIs were recognized based on their internationalization accomplishments on Quacquarelli Symonds and World’s Universities with Real Impact, among others.

Organized by CHED International Affairs Service, the ASEAN ICON Awards is an avenue to recognize HEIs that championed the global reputation of Philippine Higher Education through commendable.
