DEPED TO ISSUE SAFETY SEAL TO SCHOOLS ALLOWED TO HOLD F2F CLASSES
ALL schools that have been cleared to hold face-to-face classes will be issued safety seals by the Department of Education, an official said.
ALL schools that have been cleared to hold face-to-face classes will be issued safety seals by the Department of Education, an official said.
DepEd Assistant Secretary Malcolm Garma said that a safety seal is a requirement of local government units.
Garma said that the department is finalizing guidelines on physical classes along with the Department of Health.
“Accordingly, our guidelines on limited F2F are being finalized because we have already adjusted some policies and regulations to be more relevant to the current situation and at the same time, it’s not static, but dynamic to whatever situation that might arise insofar as Covid19 is concerned,” he said.
The Education department expects more schools will resume in-person classes once the more relaxed safety evaluation tool is released next week.
“We have made it easier. Because of this, we are expecting that more schools will be able to qualify to become nominated schools,” Garma said.
