BARMM TO RESUME CLASSES IN FEBRUARY

/ 23 January 2022

THE BANGSAMORO Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, with the help of other government organizations in the region, is preparing to resume in-person classes in February.

“A series of meetings and consultations with various sectors in the region led to this decision for limited face-to-face classes in selected pilot schools,” said Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education-BARMM.

Iqbal said it took seven months for school officials to decide whether to hold physical classes or not.

“It is a shared responsibility. We are ready to implement the F2F classes,” he said.

Representatives from several offices signed an inter-ministry memorandum for the region’s limited face-to-face learning modality.

These offices include the Ministry of Interior and Local Government, Ministry of Social Services and Development, and the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority.
