SENATORIAL aspirant Neri Colmenares slammed the government for its purchase of helicopters and an anti-missile system.
SENATORIAL aspirant Neri Colmenares slammed the government for its purchase of helicopters and an anti-missile system.
Colmenares said that funds should be used for pandemic response not for war.
“I can’t understand why, at this time when we’re in dire need of funds for the pandemic and to revive the economy, our government is spending to buy helicopters.. missile system,” he tweeted.
“Walang pondo sa pandemya at ayuda pero meron sa gera?” he added.
This came after Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana earlier bared the purchase of 32 new black hawk helicopters worth $620 million and an anti-ship missile system worth $375.
Lorenzana said the aircraft will be used for humanitarian assistance and disaster response.
