POLICE TO ASSIST IN VACCINATION OF CHILDREN
THE PHILIPPINE National Police will assist the Department of Health when the latter starts vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 in January 2022.
“This will be crucial since we are dealing with the younger segment of the population but the PNP has already a template in place,” PNP chief General Dionardo Carlos said.
In previous vaccination campaigns, the police helped secure the venue sites.
The PNP will also assist in the delivery and transport of the vaccines and augment medical personnel to ensure that more children will be inoculated.
Carlos said that vaccinators from the PNP Medical Reserve Force who served in earlier government vaccination programs are available.
“We remind the parents or guardians who shall accompany the children to always be watchful and be an example in following the minimum public health standards,” he added.
