MAJORITY of the personnel in the Department of Education office in Kabankalan City have been vaccinated against Covid19.

The DepEd schools division said that 78.02 percent or 1,704 were given jabs. Of these, 1,085 or 49. 68 percent received their second dose.

Nicasio Frio, Schools Division superintendent, urged employees to get vaccinated in preparation for the holding of face-to-face classes.

“As DepEd employees, we ought to be responsible for our children and the community where we live,” Frio said.

Dr. Gift Verano, medical officer of DepEd-Kabankalan, said that the target is to vaccinate more DepEd employees.

“[We are] committed to increasing the number of immunized workers by supporting the National Covid19 Vaccination Days in collaboration with our local government,” Verano said.
