Commissioner Willie Marcial confirmed that Governor Dennis Pineda allowed the league to hold the rest of the PBA Philippine Cup in Pampanga, having the Don Honorio Ventura State University in Bacolor to serve as their venue.

“Within seven to eight days, magsisimula na tayo ng games kung walang problema,” Marcial said. 

“Kasi inaprubahan na tayo ni Governor Pineda na mag-practice at maglaro,” he added.

The Philippine Cup was suspended on August 3 amid rising cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant.

Meanwhile, Marcial also extended his gratitude to Pineda for allowing them to hold the league in the province.

“Nagpapasalamat ako kay Governor Pineda na pinayagan tayo,” he said.
