PNVF RELEASES TAI’S RESIGNATION, SAYS ‘BENEFITED’ FROM VISA IN PVL

Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) disclosed the resignation letter of Coach Tai Bundit but had something to say following the coach’s departure.

Bundit’s resignation letter was submitted last Sunday stating that “I cannot carry out my duties accordingly” and also included that his intention to resign is ‘effective immediately.’

Nevertheless, the league accepted the resignation of coach Tai but slammed him for using his VISA for his job at Creamline.

“The PNVF, through the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), earnestly and rigidly worked for the issuance of Bundit’s visa amid difficult travel restrictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” PVNF’s statement read.

“But instead of reporting to the PNVF, Bundit benefited from his visa for his coaching job at Creamline in the PVL.”

Coach Tai left the country yesterday to fly back to his home country, Thailand, and be with his family.

On the other hand, Tony Boy Liao, the chairman of the PNVF national team department averred that the national coaches commission will discuss their plans on replacing the vacant position.

“If they do decide to replace him, then we’ll need to find a replacement.”
