ATENEO DE ZAMBOANGA U MEDICAL STUDENTS START LIMITED F2F CLERKSHIP
MEDICINE students at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University started limited face-to-face clerkship on Monday, August 16.
In a Facebook post, AdZU shared that in-person rotations are conducted at the Mindanao Central Sanitarium in Pasobolong, Zamboanga City.
“This is an integral part of the training for level 3 students in the program which exposes them to actual hospital settings — aiding their growth through real-time and hands-on experience in a standard medical health facility,” AdZU said.
Instead of 36 hours of duty, the university said the rotations will be reduced to four hours to lessen the possible exposure of students to Covid19. It added that virtual rotations will be implemented.
“May the Lord bless our future doctors and health professionals with safety and good health and cast away their fears and worries as they push through with their training and apprenticeship amidst the challenges we face today,” the school said.
AdZU was one of several universities allowed by the Commission on Higher Education to resume face-to-face instruction methods for health-related programs.
