SCHOOLS from different regions have shared their preparations to ensure students’ safety when classes open.

Abrongan National High School in Sto. Niño, Cagayan will conduct its dry run for 39 chosen students on August 24. However, the school administration admitted that many parents remain clueless on what is going to happen when classes open. This has prompted learners to approach and ask the teachers about health and safety preparations.

Meanwhile, the Ignacio Villamore Senior High School in Manila will undertake six steps during the five-day dry run. These are: prep, pack deliver, learn, monitor and retrieve.

For the school opening, its teachers have prepared powerpoint presentations, audio-visuals and collaborative online activities. They will also continue to monitor students through apps such as Facebook messenger and Zoom.

The teachers have also uploaded learning materials on the school’s official Facebook page for immediate access of the learners.

Dolores National High School has received support from local officials.

“Bilang pagtugon sa hamon ng edukasyon sa Calabarzon, bilang nasa LGU ng aming barangay, sila po ay aming tutulungan sa mga activity or mga proyekto,” said Barangay Councilor Angeline Escorido.

The said schools have also started distributing printed learning materials to students through their parents and have ensured sanitary facilities for the teachers.
