In 2020, people have spent more time at  home due to the lockdown brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The year was not good for people who love to go out for leisure and those who enjoy meeting new friends. So far, we could sense that 2021 is no different as we continue to live with the threat of the virus. 

But what if we tell you that there’s an online app where you could wander around and meet new friends? We don’t know if you’ve heard but PLAY TOGETHER lets you do just that. 

Since its release on December 30, 2020, the app has already been downloaded more than 10,000 times. 

What’s in the game?

If you’ve ever played the popular Animal Crossing which united more than 11 million players around the globe, you probably know what’s in store for you in Play Together.

The game basically lets you meet with your friends online, design your house, buy a pet, and go fishing. You could also do part-time jobs like delivering pizza and recycling items. 

Camping without masks is also possible here! You and your friends can stay in tents all day long. If this is not your thing, you can always go to the plaza and ride a ferris wheel with your loved ones. 

If you ever found yourself alone, your avatar can cook its own meals or swim at the beach. 

That’s not all.. Play Together also makes its players go to school and finish educational activities to gain points.

“Anything is possible in this virtual world of ours–playing games, cooking and camping! anything is possible,” the Korean developers in Haegin Co. said. 

Is that all? 

Although the game is relatively new, its developers have already infused the app with fun mini games.

Like Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Play Together has multiplayer games designed like a platformer battle royal.

“Jump into a series of minigames! The games continue until there is only one player left. Jump and enjoy a total of 15 games with your friends,” the developers said.

So what’s the catch?

Not all games are perfect. Apparently, Play Together will still let you watch those pesky ads to gain virtual cash. 

There are also optional in-app purchases that may incur additional charges.

Many of the items in the game are quite pricey, so expect that you may not fully enjoy its customization perks. 

All in all, we’d give this game a strong 7/10 rating.
