/ 16 April 2021

Small food entrepreneurs have had a difficult time adjusting to the New Normal’s many rules and regulations as circumstances have forced them to rapidly adapt, transform, and change up their traditional operations. For many, this time has become a period of reckoning where only the toughest survive. Yet, for some, it’s become a unique period of reinvention and successful innovation–like Bao Street Food Corporation.

Bao Street was conceptualized in early 2020 and was officially introduced to the public in June of the same year, during Manila’s general community quarantine. What makes the franchise stand out from others that were launched at the same time is its worry-free, “pandemic-proof”, business model that allows small business owners to break free from traditional limitations such as commercial rent, electricity and water fees, and more. Its mobile food trike business allowed Bao Street to reach more people during this time of pandemic.

On top of its wide reach in customers, Bao Street also prides itself of its trademark “Asian Street Food-Inspired Pinoy Fusion Bao.” It offers three unique pinoy flavors that adds a new take to the traditional bao.
