ShowBT Entertainment, massively popular Filipino boy group SB19’s management, is showing no signs of slowing down with the introduction of SB19’s new sister group KAIA.

Opened last November was KAIA’s official Twitter account where their teasers were released. The six official members of KAIA—Charlotte, Angela, Sophia, Alexa, Charice and Joanna–were revealed through a series of concept photos and video teasers.

It seems like there is much to look forward to with this girl group whose name comes from the word “Kinaiya.” This is a Cebuano word pertaining to one’s “inner character.”

Prior to their actual debut, they released their single “KAYA” through Sony Music Philippines. The lyrics of this song which are in both English and Filipino were written by Ohwon Lee and Maegan Adriano along with KAIA’s members. This pre-debut single was composed and arranged by Ohwon Lee and Han Seungtaek.

The track is an electro-pop anthem that speaks of KAIA’s determination to get through anything!

“Basta kumapit ka, lahat makakaya.” At kinaya nga nila! Within 6 days, the official performance video for “KAYA” released on December 10 was able to reach 170,000 views on YouTube.
