The Golden Tigresses made sure that they would bring home their second victory as Apple Lingay gave a block point, followed by a combination play of Ysa Jimenez’s spike, to finish the game in three sets. 

Eya Laure gave a strong start to UST as she delivered 18 points, 18 excellent digs, and 11 excellent receptions to carry the Tigresses to a 2-0 record.

Even without Imee Hernandez’s presence as she suffered an injury during their first match against FEU, the team went on to growl as Camille Victoria scored 13 points while Jimenez and Kecelyn Galdones each had 7 points. 

Mafe Galanza guided the team with 14 excellent sets while Bernadette Pepito collected 12 excellent digs.

Janeca Lana paced the Red Warriors with 17 points and 11 excellent receptions, Apple Lingay had 12 points and nine excellent digs while Jhudielle Quizon tossed nine excellent sets.

UST will face fellow undefeated squad UP on Tuesday at 10 am while the winless UE will try for their first win as they face FEU at 12 pm on the same day.
