NU took an easy first-frame victory with ease, however, the Lady Warriors tried to bounce back with an 11-8 comeback in the second frame but NU’s Alyssa Solomon found her flow and hit back-to-back kills to ignite a 6-0 run that placed NU in charge, 14-11, and UE could not recover.

The Lady Bulldogs kept their record unscathed as Sheena Toring delivered an all-around game of eight attacks, three aces, and two blocks to finish with 13 points, and Ivy Lacsina also chipped in 13 points off 12 attacks.

The Lady Warriors had four consecutive defeats as Janeca Lana was only limited to nine points and with no player delivering double figures for UE.

“Siguro yun pa rin, same naman kami. Every team na makakalaban namin nagpe-prepare kami ng maayos. Stick lang kami doon, and paulit-ulit lang kami sa ginagawa namin,” said coach Karl Dimaculangan as he faced his old team for the first time.

NU will strive to win its fifth consecutive game against UST on Saturday at 12:00 PM, while UE will try to win its first game against La Salle on the same day at 4:00 PM.
