FEU TO CLASH WITH UST IN UAAP SEASON 84 MEN’S BASKETBALL OPENER

A clash between Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws and the University of Santo Thomas (UST) Growling Tigers will open the UAAP Season 84 men’s basketball tournament on March 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Following in-campus bubbles, in pursuant to the approved health guidelines between the UAAP, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, there will be a quadruple set up in the UAAP’s comeback.

The opening on March 26 will feature FEU and UST (10am) followed by AdU and NU (1pm); Ateneo and UP (4pm); DLSU and UE (7pm).

The Tab Baldwin-coached Blue Eagles will begin their title retention bid with Ange Kouame, SJ Belangel, Raffy Verano, Jolo Mendoza, Tyler Tio, Gian Mamuyac, and transferee Dave Ildefonso in his roster.

Meanwhile, the new Fighting Maroons head coach Goldwin Monteverde will lead the team together with newcomers Carl Tamayo and Zavier Lucero as well as mainstay Ricci Rivero and transferee CJ Cansino.

The first round of the men’s basketball tournament schedule will run from March 26 to April 9 where fans can watch in HD live at One Sports, as well as at the UAAP Varsity Channel 263, and a pre-taped will be prepared by Cignal.
