Capped in a 26-24, 22-25, 25-27, 25-23, 15-12, Tigresses head coach Kungfu Reyes shared that the complexity of the play has been an “up and down just like a roller coaster ride” as the game lasted for two hours and 50 minutes.

But still, he expressed that the game was nothing but an inspiring one. “Very inspiring ‘yong laro kasi every time na kaharap mo si coach Ramil at ‘yong squad niya nailalabas ng both teams ‘yong quality ng laro.”

Sabi ko kung matalo kami doon, ico-commend ko pa ‘yong player namin kasi first time maka-encounter ng ganito kagandang laro. ‘yong transition ng game talagang everybody’s game,” he added.

UST was able to cap the first set by a deuce but La Salle immediately took it back as Leiah Malaluan kept pace with Laure with her 26 points off 24 kills and two aces.

The third set also fell in the hands of the Lady Spikers but Ysa Jimenez and Camille Victoria decided to suit up in the fourth set holding off an 8-2 La Salle surge midway through the frame followed by Laure’s touch to push a decider.

Laure blasted a through-the-block attack and soared for an off-speed shot to put the Tigresses on match point at 12-all. But she was not done yet as after scoring three consecutive points, she also rejected Jyne Soreno’s attack to seize the win, 15-12.
