UP STARS MOLDE, LAYUG TO FORGO LAST PLAYING YEAR AS THEY JOIN PLDT

The Power Hitters are waiting for the stars to finish their final semester in UP to officially join the roster.

Masaya na sila sa nabigay ni Isa at Marist sa 4 years nila sa UP – sa exposure at mga naibigay nila sa programa,” said PLDT head coach Roger Gorayeb.

Molde was the former skipper of the U-23 national team and played for Foton in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) and Motolite in PVL.

“Isa’s an outside hitter and her exposure from UP and her other teams was a big help for her,” Gorayeb propounded.

“She’ll bring so many things for us in the team,” he added.

On the other hand, Gorayeb has been eyeing Layug since she was still King’s Montessori and Gorayeb was still coaching National University.

Molde and Layug will join the newly recruited players Eli Soyud, Chin chin Basas, Yeye Gabarda, and Nieza Viray.

With new developments of the club, Gorayeb expressed that he can’t wait to see his players rally on the court.

Malaki ‘yung nakikita kong future nila kasi excited akong ma-coach sila. Excited akong mabigyan ng ibang style of play, something new for them,” Gorayeb concluded.
