PETROGAZZ delivered a commanding performance, sweeping Capital 1 with a 25-19, 25-18, 25-9 victory in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday (11 Feb 2025).

The Angels secured their eighth win in nine matches, while the Solar Spikers fell to their sixth consecutive loss, dropping to a 1-9 record.

The third set saw Petro Gazz open with an 11-2 advantage, led by the offensive firepower of Brooke Van Sickle. The Koji Tsuzurabara-coached squad showed no signs of slowing down, maintaining their lead and closing out the match with Van Sickle delivering a service ace followed by a finishing kill.

“Everyone came out with a strong performance. Compared to our previous matches, they all delivered today,” Tsuzurabara shared after the match.

Myla Pablo was named Player of the Game after contributing 14 points, including 12 attacks, a block, and an ace. Van Sickle added 13 points to the team’s total.

Heather Guino-o led the Solar Spikers with eight points in the loss.
