It was in the 90th minute when Lin Ming-Wei sealed the victory for Taiwan by scoring a rebound goal, much to the disappointment of the home crowd.

Taiwan took an early lead as Wu Yen-shu found the back of the net in the second minute of the match, leaving the Azkals trailing. However, eleven minutes later, Mike Ott equalized for the Philippines with a successful penalty kick after being fouled inside the box by Wang Ruei.

With this result, the Philippine team concluded their two friendlies with a record of 1 win and 1 loss. They secured a 1-0 victory over Nepal in their previous match, held on the preceding Thursday.
