LuponWXC was founded by local gaming icon Nico “KuyaNic” Nazario back in 2015 which specialized in broadcasting esport tournaments connecting local streamers, esports players, and professional groups to their viewers through different opportunities.

Moreover, it runs a popular Mobile Legends: Bang Bang pro team, Execration.

Before Avelino’s partnership with Nazario began, he is helping local online game streamers procure equipments.

“Marami rin akong tinutulungan na local streamers na nasa gaming,” Avelino shared during the presscon via Zoom.

“So syempre, marami akong ino-order abroad ng mga wala dito ng mga gamit, para ma-improve yung quality ng stream nila, or maging mas convenient sa kanila.”

For his new role with LuponWXC, the 32-year old veteran actor will be in charge of the content production and curation side and will be tapping on his experience to improve the quality of the company’s coverage of all current gaming events.

He and Nazario shared that they are looking forward to the completion of the company’s gaming facility being constructed in General Trias, Cavite which will have a total of 11 broadcast studios housing game streamers and esports athletes.

“Our main product is the broadcast of esports tournaments. Next is the development of gaming streamers. We’re also very much willing to lend our gamers to our Philippine teams,” Nazario said.

“We are really building assets, papasikatin namin, and in a way, we are giving back to the community, because this is something that they deserve,” he added 

With the continued rise of the esports industry, Avelino said that he is seeing the industry becoming almost as big as showbiz.

“I see this industry becoming as big as,” and here Avelino stops himself, “probably not as big as the showbiz industry, but almost tapping into there.
