On Thursday, Smart Omega released its official statement via Facebook, saying it will fine Kelra equivalent to a month’s worth of salary in addition to the two-week suspension and fine imposed by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines.

Moreover, Smart Omega also remarked on the situation, accepting the penalties imposed on them by the MPL-PH.

“Smart, the sponsor of this team, is a staunch advocate and supporter of inclusivity and sports,” read in the statement.

The smart-backed club will also make sure that the rising star attends gender sensitivity and personality-development workshops along with the entire Smart Omega squad.

“In coordination with Smart Omega’s management, Kelra will be required to attend gender sensitivity and personality-development workshops,” Smart Omega averred.

“Apart from Kelra, we will ensure that all members go through the same program to foster a deeper understanding of inclusivity, and to reinforce respect and professionalism among our players and towards others,” the statement continued.

In the end, Smart Omega said that it will not take the matter lightly and will further help Kelra in acknowledging his mistakes and prevent them in the future. 

“It is our responsibility to take care of our athletes by making sure that we provide a holistic development plan for them. Our management, coaches, and teammates will not take this matter lightly and will make sure that he learns from this experience and comes back a better person,” Smart Omega ended.

Meanwhile, Kelra has since reiterated his apology to OhMyV33nus and Wise and his sexual remarks to Ramella.

“Gusto ko po ulit mag-sorry kila OhMyV33nus at Wise Gaming maling-mali talaga ‘yung mga nasabi ko, he said. 

“I would also like to give my sincerest apologies to Ramellabah, sa IDONOTSLEEP ESPORTS and sa Bigetron Alpha. I deeply apologize for my behavior and the problems that I caused. I was unprofessional. I am sorry and I want to be a better person. I will be more respectful towards others,” he added.
