OJ PORTERIA REJOINS UNITED CITY FOOTBALL CLUB
Football star Jose Elmer “OJ” Porteria is set to join the United City Football Club (UCFC) again after leaving Thai League 1 side Ratchaburi Mitr Phol.
The new development has been announced by the UCFC stating that “UCFC is happy to announce the return of OJ Porteria for the upcoming PFL season.”
“Welcome home and great to have you back.”
The 27-year old Porteria ended his short stint in a supposedly three-year deal with Ratchaburi FC, yet ready to gun the squad of UCFC more than ever from his accumulated skills in playing football.
Porteria spent five seasons with Kaya Iloilo who won the 2015 United Football League Cup and then joined Ceres-Negros (now UCFC) in 2017, winning three PFL crowns and became part of the team that won the ASEAN Zonal title in the 2017 AFC Cup.
However, UCFC is still waiting for this year’s PFL season and will defend their title against Kaya, Stallion Laguna, Maharlika Manila, Dynamic Herb Cebu, Mendiola 1991, and the Azkals Development Team.
Nevertheless, the squad is preparing for Southeast Asia’s first football tourney as they will represent the Philippines in the said competition that will happen from September 9 to October 7.
