KOBE PARAS LANDS IN CALAMBUBBLE; COMPLETES GILAS LINEUP
The 16-man Gilas pool is finally complete with Kobe Paras joining the team at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna on Saturday.
Paras missed the first official practice of the Gilas Pilipinas team on Friday due to his rescheduled dental procedure.
He was supposed to arrive at the bubble on Thursday, however, the dental procedure was postponed to Friday.
The 6-foot-6 standout will be completing the Gilas lineup with Jaydee Tungcab, Juan and Javi Gomez De Liaño of UP, Angelo Kouame, Dwight Ramos, Will Navarro and Dave Ildefonso of Ateneo, Justine Baltazar of La Salle, Calvin Oftana and Kemark Cariño of San Beda are inside the bubble.
Also part of the 16-man Gilas pool are the top five PBA rookie picks Isaac Go, Rey Suerte, Allyn Bulanadi, Matt, and Mike Nieto.
The National team has less than two weeks before the second window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers (ACQ) at Manama, Bahrain.
The philippine team holds a 1-0 record in the Group A of ACQ defeating Indonesia, 100-70, during the first window last February before the league was halted due to the pandemic.
