The last batch of players who entered the bubble had their RT-PCR tests and began undergoing the mandatory quarantine before being authorized to participate in the ongoing training sessions inside the Calamba, Laguna facility.

The TNT duo of Pogoy and Rosario and NLEX’s Soyud are the newest pros in the lineup to take action in the bubble, bringing the numbers of PBA cagers to six.

The arrival of the four will mark the formal kickoff of the Gilas training camp for next month’s final window of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.

The three-week preparation will be under the supervision of coach Jong Uichico and Gilas project director Tab Baldwin in time for the Feb. 18 to 21 tourney in Clark, Pampanga.

According to Spin.ph’s inside source, no other professional players are expected to join and go inside the training bubble, with cadets Dwight Ramos and Kai Sotto the last two players who are participating in the training pool.

That would make the roster of players inside the bubble a 20-man pool from which the final 12 who will comprise the Gilas squad for the final window of the qualifiers would be chosen.

CJ Perez, Kiefer Ravena, and Justin Chua are mong the pro player in the pool aside from Pogoy, Soyud, and Rosario while special PBA draftees include brothers Mike and Matt Nieto, Rey Suerte, and Isaac Go.

Majority of those who are already inside the training camp are members of Gilas Cadets and amateurs, composed of Justine Baltazar, Kenmark Carino, Javi Gomez De Liaño, Dave Ildefonso, William Navarro, Calvin Oftana, and prospective naturalized player Ange Kouame.
