Ramos had a stellar performance during the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers which caught the attention of PBA scouts.

“I think he’s PBA ready kasi magagamit at magagamit siya eh,” Gilas Pilipinas Head Coach Jong Uichico told 2OT.

Kung sa Gilas nga nagagamit siya eh, what more doon sa PBA where he will be really a factor?”

The 6-foot-5 combo guard is eligible for the draft despite not playing a single game for the Blue Eagles since he met the age requirements and he is also four years removed from high school, as he graduated from Walnut High School in 2016.

However, Ramos chose to stay with Ateneo for the reason that he will be playing with his younger brother Eli.

According to the Gilas standout, playing with his brother was a dream.

“He’s a good defender, he’s fast, he’s more of a driver type of guy, so it will be fun playing with him, he plays with a lot of energy,” Dwight shared about his younger brother on an episode of The Prospects Pod.

The 22-year-old Katipunan-based swingman will also have the chance to play alongside his friend, Chris Koon, who also committed to Cal Poly Pomona.

“Chris is really like a smart basketball player, can shoot the ball really well,” he shared.

“It will be fun playing with both of them. They’re two good players.”
