3 PINOY TOKYO OLYMPIC MEDALISTS BOXER TO RECEIVE HOUSE AND LOT IN TAGAYTAY
Three Tokyo Olympic medalists Filipino boxers will receive a house and lot in Tagaytay, Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham 'Bambol' Tolentino announced.
Tolentino said that the three boxers will join weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz as recipients of the Tagaytay Properties.
“The two silvers and one bronze, bibigyan ko na rin ng pabahay, para pwede na rin ibigay sa kamag-anak nila,” Tolentino said.
These boxers will also receive cash incentives from the POC, he said.
“With some of the savings of the POC, I’m now announcing that the bronze will receive from POC, additional P1M, and for silver medalists, P2M, for gold P3M,” POC President said.
Paalam and Marcial were surprised with the announcement of Tolentino and expressed their gratitude to the POC chief for the rewards.
“Sobrang saya namin, bigla akong napawisan,” Marcial said.
“Malaking bagay po ito para sa akin at ang pamilya ko,” Paalam said.
All four athletes, including Diaz, are expected to get millions worth of cash and other pledges like lifetime fuel and free flights.
