ZAMBOANGA CITY TO ALLOW KIDS IN PUBLIC AREAS UNDER ALERT LEVEL 2

/ 2 December 2021

THE PANDEMIC task force in Zamboanga City is considering allowing children in public areas during the holiday season as Covid19 infections in the province continue to decline.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said minors may be allowed to visit public places  once the community quarantine restrictions go down to Alert Level 2.

“The shift to Alert Level 2 will allow minors to experience the multi-million Christmas decorations on display of the city government,” Climaco-Salazar said.

The city reported that active cases decreased to 368 as of November 29.

OCTA Research Group earlier said that bringing unvaccinated minors to enclosed areas must be limited.

OCTA Research member Professor Ranjit Rye pointed out that the public should not be complacent amid the declining number of infections.
