VICE President Sara Duterte-Carpio urged students in Guimaras to excel if they want to succeed and have a better life.

The Education secretary led the distribution of bags with school supplies and dental kits to 500 schoolchildren in Jordan, Guimaras.

“Sa ating mga learners, simple lang po ang paalala natin, hindi po ang mga bag ang magpapabago ng buhay ninyo. Ang magpapabago ng buhay ninyo ay yung determinasyon ninyo na magtagumpay at ang sipag ninyo na mag-aral,” Duterte-Carpio said.

“Ang edukasyon po ang greatest equalizer — pampantay ng antas ng buhay ng lahat ng tao,” she added.

Duterte-Carpip reminded students that proper education makes a difference and that pursuing higher learning will pave the way for greater opportunities.

“Nagbigay kami ng mga bags para maalala ninyo na merong tumayo sa harap ninyo ngayong araw na ito at nagsabi sa inyo na kaya ninyong gawin at kaya ninyong malampasan lahat ng problema kapag kayo ay determinado na magtagumpay sa inyong buhay,” she said.

Mothers also received food packages from the Office of the Vice President.
