POLICE HELP 4 PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS IN ZAMBOANGA

THE POLICE in Zamboanga donated school supplies and medical kits to four public high schools under the Barangayanihan Program of the Philippine National Police.

The Police Regional Office in Zamboanga Peninsula and Zamboanga City Police Office also distributed grocery items.

Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said policemen repaired and repainted classrooms; fixed dilapidated desks, chairs, and tables; cut overgrown grasses; and cleaned the school premises.

The recipient schools are the Ayala National High School,  Culianan National High School, Lunzuran National High School, and Zamboanga City High School-Main.

“As the school year begins for limited face-to-face classes, school officials and students face challenges brought about by Covid19 pandemic,” Ylagan said.

The BarangaYanihan program was first introduced by Maj. Rhodel Sermonia, former Community Relations Group director, who is now the Operations director.

The community activities were implemented by Police Community Affairs and Development Group Director Brig. Gen. Eric Noble.

PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar commended Ylagan and his policemen , as well as the Officer’s Ladies Club of PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula.

Officials of the four schools thanked the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula, ZCPO and other stakeholders for their continued support.
