TAWI-TAWI SCHOOL GETS FREE INTERNET, COMPUTERS FROM DICT

/ 18 March 2021

THE DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology installed a terminal satellite in Mapun, Tawi-Tawi  to provide free Wi-Fi access to school teachers who depend on the internet for distance learning.

It also provided 21 computer packages equipped with offline contents for teachers and students of the Mapun National High School.

A teacher in the school, Fairooza Emmoh, said that distance learning had been a real challenge to them because there was no internet connection in the school.

DICT Director Tess Camba said she planned to send trainers to hold ICT Skills Training to maximize the use of the department’s projects.
