THE Provincial Youth Development Office in collaboration with the National Youth Commission has conducted a governance training program in Digos City, Davao del Sur to enhance the skills of the youth on governance and develop a comprehensive Youth Code.

The event carried the title “Davao del Sur Training on LYDP Governance Modules and Youth Code Write Shop.”

The Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation and HIRAYA have also collaborated with the two offices for the event.

“The training program featured a mix of interactive and participatory methods, engaging participants in hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of governance concepts. Through small group discussions, participants analyzed governance issues in detail, promoting active participation and the exchange of diverse perspectives,” NYC said in a post.

NYC said that one of the key highlights of the program was the collaborative drafting of the Youth Code.

Participants worked together in a write-shop format to create this guiding document, which will steer youth governance and activities in the province, the Commission added.
