ISABELA STATE U RECEIVES P46-M GRANT FOR 2 R&D PROJECTS

/ 11 May 2021

TWO government agencies gave the Isabela State University P46 million to fund two of its Research and Development projects.

The Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Training Institute gave ISU-Cauayan an initial P6 million to support hog breeders affected by the African Swine Fever outbreak.

Meanwhile, the Department of Science and Technology gave ISU-Ilagan P40 million for the creation of the Regional Yarn Production and Innovation Center.

“The center would be reinforcing ISU Ilagan’s banner R&D on textile production, as well as its new curricular offering on Textile Engineering,” ISU said on Facebook.

The grant will support the implementation of the DOST’s Academe Technology-Based Enterprise Development for textile student entrepreneurs.
