SENATOR Risa Hontiveros offered the help of her office in giving justice to the victims of sexual harassment in a school in Los Baños, Laguna.

She was referring to reports on the alleged cases of sexual harassment at the Philippine High School for the Arts.

Multiple victims came forward to report rape incidents and unwanted touching from seniors, teachers and other personnel following the death of an alleged abuser last year.

Former and current students urged the school administration to take action on what they called “a culture of abuse” in PNHS.

Hontiveros said that the issue should be addressed to give justice to the victims.

“Nakapanlulumo. Bilang may akda ng Safe Spaces Act, handa kaming makipagtulungan para mabigyang hustisya ang bawat bata na nabiktima ng karahasang ito,” she said on Twitter.

“The law covers any abuse or harassment committed in schools. Hindi pwedeng palagpasin ito,” she added.
