GENSAN LGU RECOGNIZES FIRST CHILDREN-MADE PUBLICATION ON HIV AWARENESS

FOUR students in General Santos City were recognized by the local government for coming out with a publication focusing on HIV awareness.

Charles Niel Tupas, Frances Royce Ofracio, Doniero Lozano, and Anna Mariel Wakat were lauded for their project GenZine.

Project GenZine aims to integrate HIV/AIDS awareness to inform children and youth in General Santos City. The materials will be accessed in school libraries, barangay libraries, city libraries, and in digital platforms.

The four received an award from Mayor Ronnel Rivera.

The students’ mentor was Clyde Almaden.

The giving of the award was in accordance with Ordinance No. 01, s. 2017 also known as Awards for Children and Youth Excellence Program.
