A FATHER providing for the education of his children is normal but a father providing for the studies of his children while trying to finish his own is out of the ordinary.

This is the story of 48-year-old Ronald Galante of Sarangani Province.

Ronald, a father of 10, works doubly hard to fulfill the dreams of his children as well as his.

The head of the Galante family is a Grade 10 student at the Datal Basak IP Integrated School and his children Loverjoy, 26, and Angelo, 23, are his classmates.

The father and his children help each other in studies as they believe that it is the only way for a better future.

Aside from Loverjoy and Angelo, Tatay Ronald also provides for his other children Grade 8 student Oliver, Giveriel who is in Grade 7, John Steve in Grade 5, Cherry Joy in Grade 3 and the youngest Nichanor who is in Grade 1.

“Sa Araw ng mga Ama at sa nalalapit kong birthday sa Hulyo, gusto kong ibahagi sa lahat ng mga tatay na dapat suportahan natin ang ating mga anak sa kanilang pag-aaral upang makamtan nila ang kanilang mga pangarap sa buhay at para naman sa lahat ng mga tatay po, ipakita natin sa ating mga anak na tayo ay nakasuporta sa kanilang pag-aaral,” Tatay Ronald said.

On father’s day, his children expressed their gratitude to their one of a kind father for his hard work, love and support to them.

“Sana po makatapos po kami sa aming pag-aaral upang malampasan namin ang mga hamon ng buhay, at para matupad namin ang pangako ng aming tatay bilang kanyang mga anak. Nais ko pong magpasalamat sa aming tatay dahil sa sakripisyo na ipinapakita niya sa amin kahit gaano man kahirap ang aming buhay kahit module ang pinag-aralan lang namin ngayon,” Giveriel, one of the children, said.
