THE ENERGY Development Corporation of Burgos Wind Power Corporation in Ilocos Norte will distribute 862 tablets to poor and deserving students starting this week.

The initiative was in response to the appeal of Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc for donations to assist learners.

“This is the first time that we are donating tablets for learners of Ilocos Norte. The lack of learning gadgets continues to be a major concern of learners in the province as most of them are into the modular learning program,” Andy Durog, facility head of EDC-WPC, said.

“Worth P7.5 million, the learning gadgets hope to inspire more students in the province to make good in their studies under the new normal education experience,” he added.

Durog said the distribution of gadgets is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program.

The province also distributed gadgets to students using its Special Education Fund.
