DICT SETS UP TECH4ED IN ZAMBOANGA CITY
THE DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology established a Tech4ED station in Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City to provide internet access to students and other members of the community.
Barangay Chairman Efigenio Julian, Jr. received the equipment package composed of 4 all-in-1 computers with headsets and AVRs.
The Technology Empowerment for Education, Employment, Entrepreneurs, and Economic Development or Tech4ED project aims to set up community centers nationwide to provide students, out-of-school youth, senior citizens, housewives, and other underserved sectors access to online government services and learning modules for skills development, digital literacy, and non-formal education.
So far, 45 sites of Tech4ED have been established in various communities.
Those who want to use the center were advised to communicate with its personnel in observance of health protocols.
