THE DEPARTMENT of Education nominated nine more schools to join the pilot run of limited face-to-face classes.

Dr. Tolentino Aquino, DepEd Ilocos Region director, said they are waiting for the decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid19, the Department of Health, and DepEd Central Office.

“They were part of the 50 schools in the Ilocos Region validated after they have been pre- identified to qualify for the conduct of the limited F2F classes,” Aquino said.

“The schools in the region are ready for the limited F2F classes.”

The eight public schools and one private school underwent the school safety readiness test.

Aquino said that local government units, barangay officials and parents of the learners have agreed to resume onsite learning.

On November 15, nine schools in Ilocos Norte and one in Pangasinan pushed through with the pilot implementation of physical classes.
