OFFICIALS of the Department of Education recently visited the Kalapi Negrito Elementary School, one of the last mile schools in Mabalacat, Pampanga

The department checked the condition of 58 Aeta-Mag-antsi learners who were beneficiaries of the school-based feeding program.

The children received fruits and nutritious food under the program.

The officials also inspected the Gulayan sa Paaralan and checked on the school’s WASH initiative that aimed to teach learners proper hygiene and self-care.

Education officials were informed of the need for potable water, solar panels, gadgets and connectivity.

The officials also held consultations with representatives from the DedEd Region 3 office, division offices and schools.
