/ 11 August 2022

THE DEPARTMENT of Education office in Central Luzon on Wednesday said that its personnel will not solicit any financial or material assistance from the public.

The regional office issued the statement amid reports on social media that public school teachers have been soliciting ahead of the resumption of in-person classes on August 22.

“The Department of Education Regional Office III wishes to inform the public that its officials and employees are NOT personally soliciting any financial or material assistance from individuals, private companies, or organizations for personal reasons and consumptions,” it said on Facebook.

“We encourage our education partners and stakeholders to course through their donations, pledges, and commitments to designated partnerships focal persons in the Regional Office, Schools Division Offices, and all schools,” it added.

The DepEd Central Office on Monday reminded heads of schools in public schools nationwide that the collection of fees or solicitation from volunteers or stakeholders is not allowed during the implementation of Brigada Eskwela.

It said that Brigada Eskwela will address the learning resource gaps for teachers and students by strengthening partnerships at the local and national level.
