THE COMMISSION  on Higher Education office in Zamboanga is preparing for the conduct of face-to-face classes in areas under Alert Level 1.

CHED Regional Director Rody Garcia said that colleges and universities in cities or provinces under Alert Level 1 can hold physical classes at 100 percent capacity.

According to the latest resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, only Zamboanga City is under Alert Level 1. The rest of the region is under Alert Level 2.

Garcia said that schools that plan to hold in-person classes should comply with the requirements laid down by the government such as clearance from the IATF. Students are also required to have health insurance coverage.
